Joseph Desautels, M.D.

 

     Dr. Desautels, board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, has been practicing in Montgomery,AL since 1999 when he finished his Ob/Gyn residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While in residency he was chosen to be Chief Resident and received the Henry M. Costello Award for Most Oustanding Resident. Dr. Desautels received his M.D. degree in his home state from the University of North Dakota.

     Dr. Desautels offers his patients up to date and comprehensive Ob/Gyn care. He cares for patients with both high and low risk pregnancies as well as women with gynecologic issues including fibroids, incontinence of urine, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, infertility, pelvic relaxation and birth control (including IUDs and Nexplanon).

     Dr. Desautels is trained in and routinely performs a wide variety of gynecologic surgeries including minimally invasive hysterectomies with the Da Vinci robot, surgeries to correct pelvic relaxation and incontinence, and surgery for endometriosis.
