Joseph A. Desautels, MD

Dr. Joe Desautels is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been performing a broad range of clinical, hospital, and surgical services in Montgomery since 1999.

 

After graduating from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in 1995, Dr. Desautels completed a four-year OB/GYN residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI where among other awards he was selected Chief Resident of his class.

 

Dr. Desautels clinical interest are: High risk and low risk pregnancy management including: diabetes, hypertension, high risk of preterm delivery, and high risk of pregnancy loss.

 

Gynecology:  Menstrual bleeding problems, fibroids, endometriosis treatment, birth control, menopause management, sexually transmitted infections, and preventative health care.

 

Surgery:  Dr. Desautels has expertise in laparoscopic hysterectomy, minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, pelvic reconstructive surgery, vaginal surgery, and surgery for female incontinence. He is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

                        

Dr. Desautels is married with three children.
