Nurse Midwifery
Certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) are licensed health care providers educated in nursing and midwifery. CNMs/CMs help over 300,000 women give birth each year in the United States. Most of these births are in hospitals. CNMs/CMs also care for women who decide to have their baby in freestanding birth centers and/or at home. CNMs/CMs provide health care to women all through life, including: prenatal care, birth, care after birth, care for the new baby, annual exams, birth control planning, menopause, and health counseling.
Incontinence
Providers at OB/GYN Associates are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of women who have trouble with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. We are equipped with state-of-the-art urodynamic testing equipment to help accurately diagnose and treat your bladder problem.
Bone Density
Osteoporosis has become a major health problem for women. About 10 million U. S. women have osteoporosis and another 20 million have osteopenia, putting them at risk for bone fractures. Osteoporosis related fractures of the spine lead to chronic, debilitating pain and deformity.
Surgery
Physicians at OB/GYN Associates of Montgomery are proud to be specially trained in using the da Vinci Surgical System to perform certain procedures. While no woman wants to face surgery, today the vast majority of complex gynecologic conditions – from endometriosis to uterine fibroids, heavy periods to cancer – can now be treated effectively without a big incision. da Vinci Surgery only requires a few tiny precise incisions, so patients can typically get back to life faster – within days rather than the usual weeks required with traditional surgery.
